To a solution of N3-(3,4-difluorophenyl)-N3-(3-(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yloxy)propyl)-4H-1,2,4-triazole-3,5-diamine (43 mg, 122 μmol) in methanol (1 mL) was added 2 N aqueous hydrogen chloride solution. The solution was stirred at room temperature over night. The solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure and the residue was taken up in saturated aqueous sodium hydrogen carbonate solution. It was extracted twice with ethyl acetate. The combined organic layers were washed with saturated aqueous sodium hydrogen carbonate solution and with saturated aqueous sodium chloride solution, dried over sodium sulfate, filtered and the solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure to yield the title compound as a white solid (34 mg, quant) without further purification. MS ISP (m/e): 270.3 (100) [(M+H)+].
