To a stirred solution of (R)-tert-butyl 3-((R)-(3-chlorophenyl)(2-(methoxycarbonylamino)ethoxy)methyl)piperidine-1-carboxylate (91 mg, 0.21 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (3 mL) at rt was added TFA (0.5 mL). The mixture was stirred until complete removal of the Boc group had occurred. The solvent was removed under vacuum to give methyl 2-((R)-(3-chlorophenyl)((R)-piperidin-3-yl)methoxy)ethylcarbamate as its TFA salt. MS: 327 (M+H)+.
