A mixture of 1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyridine-7-carbohydrazide (450 mg, 2.54 mmol), carbon disulfide (0.38 mL, 6.35 mmol), triethylamine (0.44 mL, 3.18 mmol) and ethanol (30 mL) was stirred at 90° C. for 18 hr. The reaction mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure to give the title compound (814 mg, yield 100%) as brown crystals.
