A mixture of 2-bromomethyl-2,3-dihydrobenzo[1,4]dioxine (54 mg, 0.24 mmol), 2-(piperidin-3-yl)phenol.HBr (61 mg, 0.24 mmol) and KHCO3 (84 mg, 0.84 mmol) in acetonitrile (2 mL) was heated in a microwave reactor at 160° C. for 5.5 h. The mixture was absorbed on silica and purified by flash chromatography using a gradient of DCM and MeOH (1% triethylamine) as eluent to give 11 mg of the title compound.
