Pipemidic acid (25 mg, 0.0824 mmol), 3-methoxyphenyl isothiocyanate (11.6 μL, 0.0824 mmol) and triethylamine (23 μL, 0.165 mmol) were used. Purification on silica yielded compound 19 in Table 1, below (21.4 mg, 55%). 1H NMR (300 MHz, CDCl3) δ 9.31 (s, 1H), 8.67 (s, 1H), 7.47 (s, 1H), 7.30-7.21 (m, 1H), 6.80-6.68 (m, 3H), 4.32 (q, J=6.90 Hz, 2H), 4.23-3.89 (m, 8H), 3.79 (s, 3H), 1.48 (t, J=7.16 Hz, 3H) ppm.
