alpha-Methyl-p-phenethylbenzylamine hydrochloride → 2-[1-(6-tert.-butyl-1,1-dimethyl-4-indanyl)-ethylimino]hexahydro-1H-azepine hydrochloride
Participants
| Role | Name | HCID | Charge |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reactant | alpha-Methyl-p-phenethylbenzylamine hydrochloride | HCID 13012107 | — |
| Reactant | 4-(alpha-Aminoethyl)1,1-dimethyl-6-tert.-butylindane | HCID 13012121 | — |
| Product | 2-[1-(6-tert.-butyl-1,1-dimethyl-4-indanyl)-ethylimino]hexahydro-1H-azepine hydrochloride | HCID 178463295 | — |
Reaction Steps
Following essentially the same procedure described in Example 7 above and substituting 4-(α-aminoethyl)-1,1-dimethyl-6-tert.-butylindane for the α-methyl-p-phenethylbenzylamine hydrochloride above, results in the formation of 2-[1-(6-tert.-butyl-1,1-dimethyl-4-indanyl)-ethylimino]hexahydro-1H-azepine hydrochloride, having a M.P. of 257°-8° C. (dec.).
