2-[N-(3-aminopropyl)-N-propylamino]pyridine (1.0 g) and 2-methylthio-5-(3,4-methylenedioxybenzyl)pyrimid-4-one (1.14 g) were heated together under reflux for 16 hr. After stripping, the residue was crystallised from ethanol/water to give 2-[3-(N-propyl-N-pyrid-2-ylamino)propylamino]-5-(3,4-methylenedioxybenzyl) pyrimid-4-one 1H2O, 1.47 g (81%) mp 86°-92° C.
