A solution of 6.0 grams (g) of O,S-dimethyl phosphoroisocyanatidothioate in 100 milliliters (ml) of ether was cooled to 0° C. and to this was added dropwise with stirring 3.1 g of piperidine. A precipitate began to form almost immediately and after one hour this precipitate was collected by filtration and extracted with ether. It was then recrystallized from toluene-hexane to obtain the title compound as white crystals melting at 96° C.
