7.3 g 1,4-difluoro-2-nitrobenzene are slowly added to 30 ml of a 40% aqueous methylamine solution while cooling with ice and the reaction mixture is stirred for 1 hour at ambient temperature. The precipitated product is suction filtered and recrystallized from water and ethanol. 6.3 g product are obtained as a solid. M.p=74-76° C.
