To a solution of 3-methyl-1-(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl)-1H-indazole-4-carbonitrile (130 mg, 0.54 mmol) in NH3/MeOH (7N, 10 mL) was added Raney nickel (20 mg). The mixture was stirred under hydrogen overnight. The reaction mixture was filtered, and the filtrate was concentrated to afford (3-methyl-1-(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl)-1H-indazol-4-yl)methanamine (120 mg, 91.5%). MS (ESI): m/z=246 [M+1]+.
