Procedure

A mixture of tert-butyl methyl((3-methyl-1-(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-yl)-1H-indazol-4-yl)methyl)carbamate (85 mg, 0.23 mmol) in DCM (8 mL) and TFA (1 mL) was stirred at RT overnight. The reaction mixture was concentrated in vacuo. The residue was purified SiO2 chromatography eluting with petroleum ether:EtOAc to afford N-methyl-1-(3-methyl-1H-indazol-4-yl)methanamine (109) as white solid (30 mg, 72.4%). MS (ESI): m/z=176 [M+1]+.
