Reaction Steps

To a solution of the intermediate from step B above, (414 mg, 1.02 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (2 mL) was added trifluoroacetic acid (2 mL). After stirring the reaction at room temperature for 1.5 hours it was concentrated in vacuo and azeotroped with toluene (2×). This material was used in the next step without any further purification.
