Compound B (4.0 g), tetrakis(triphenyl-phosphine)palladium(0) (203 mg, 176 μmol) and 1,2-dimethoxyethane (100 Ml, 1 mol) were combined and stirred under nitrogen at room temperature for 20 minutes. Water (20.6 mL, 1.1 mol), 2,4,6-trivinylcyclotriboroxane pyridine complex (1.1 g, 44.4 mmol) and potassium carbonate (1.3 g, 9.3 mmol) were then added and the mixture was heated at 90° C. for 6-12 hours. The product was purified by flash chromatography in hexanes/EtOAc 0-75%) to yield compound C (3.2 g).
