Procedure
Ethyl 1-{6-[3-(2-(pyridin-4-yl)thiazol-4-yl)ureido]-pyridin-2-ylmethyl}-piperidine-4-carboxylate (55 mg, 0.12 mmol, Example 61) was suspended in MeOH (10 ml) followed by adding LiOH (50 mg, 1.18 mmol) in H2O (1 ml). The resulting mixture was heated at 45° C. for 15 h. After cooling to RT, the solvent was removed. The residue was suspended in H2O (20 mL). The pH was adjusted to 7 using HCl (1N). The resulting mixture was extracted with CHCl3:IpOH (3:1). The organic layer was washed with H2O and brine. After being dried over anhydrous MgSO4, the solvent was removed in vacuo to yield the final compound as light yellow solid. MS m/z: 438.7 (M+H). Calc'd. for C21H22N6O3S-438.51.
