To a solution of Benzyl-[1-(4-butylamino-benzenesulfonyl)-azetidin-3-yl]-carbamicacid tert-butyl ester (0.19 g, 0.4 mmol) in dichloromethane (4 ml) was added trifluoroacetic acid (0.31 ml, 4 mmol). The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 2 h, and then quenched with saturated sodium carbonate solution, and extracted with dichloromethane. The organic solution was washed with brine, dried over sodium sufate, and evaporated. The crude product was chromatographed on silica gel (ethyl acetate-hexanes/3:2) to give 0.09 g of a colorless foam; MS (ES) m/z 374.1 (MH+); HRMS (EI) Calcd. for C20H27N3O2S (M+): 373.1824, Found: 373.1822.
