To a solution of [1-(4-butoxy-benzenesulfonyl)-azetidin-3-yl]-[(2S)-2-hydroxy-3-(4-hydroxy-phenoxy)-propyl]-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (0.11 g, 0.2 mmol) in dichloromethane (2 ml) was added trifluoroacetic acid (0.15 ml, 2 mmol). The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 2 h, and then quenched with saturated sodium carbonate solution and extracted with dichloromethane. The organic solution was washed with brine, dried over sodium sufate, and evaporated to give 0.10 g of a white solid; m.p. 55-58° C.; MS (ES) m/z 451 (MH+); HRMS (CI) Calcd. for C22H31N2O6S (MH+): 451.1903, Found: 451.1882.
