Procedure

To a heated (70° C.) solution of (S)-(−)-6-[1-hydroxy-1-(1H-imidazol-4-yl)propyl]-N-methyl-2-naphthamide (6.20 g) was added a hot solution of fumaric acid (2.20 g) in EtOH (30 mL), and the mixture was stand at room temperature. The obtained crystals were filtered, washed with EtOH, and dried in vacuo to give the title compound (7.15 g) as a colorless powder.
