Scheme Va, step C: {2-[3-(2-Aminoethyl)phenyl]propyl}[(methylethyl)sulfonyl]amine (0.57 g, 2 mmol), isopropylsulfonyl chloride (0.24 mL, 2.1 mmol) and DBU (0.33 mL, 2.2 mmol) were combined and sulfonylation was carried out in a manner analogous to the procedure described in example 2 to provide the final title compound, [(methylethyl)sulfonyl]{2-[3-(2-{[(methylethyl)sulfonyl]amino}ethyl)phenyl]propyl}amine, (0.422 g, 54%) as a white crystalline solid.
