Reaction Steps
1-Benzyl-4-tert-butoxycarbonylamino-pyrrolidine-2-carboxylic methyl ester and LiOH are dissolved in THF/H2O, and the resulting mixture is stirred for about 5 hours at room temperature. After removal of the solvent, the PH is adjusted to 6-7. The solid is collected and dried to afford 1-benzyl-4-tert-butoxycarbonylamino-pyrrolidine-2-carboxylic acid (40).
