3.9 g of the above product (b) was dissolved in 150 ml of dichloromethane. To the solution was added 44 g of manganese dioxide while stirring at room temperature. After completion of adding the reagent, the reaction solution was stirred at room temperature for three days. The reaction solution was filtered and the filtrate was concentrated to afford 3.0 g of the titled product (c) as a colorless oily matter.
