100 mg (0.214 mMol) of rac benzoic acid-[4-(4-chloroanilino)phthalazin-1-yl](pyridin-4-yl)-methyl ester in 2 ml dioxane, 1 ml methanol and 1 ml water are saponified with 9.9 mg (0.235 mmol) lithiumhydroxide monohydrate. After 16 h, the title compound is filtered off: m.p. 196-197° C., FAB MS (M+H)+=363.
