30 ml of dioxane was added to 7.75 g (19.2 mmol) of methyl 2-acetamido-3-[2-(2-t-butoxycarbonylamino-ethoxy)-4-cyanophenyl]-acrylate, and they were stirred. 80 ml of dioxane containing 4 M of hydrogen chloride was added to the obtained mixture, and they were stirred at room temperature for 1 hour. The solvent was evaporated, and the residue was suspended in ethyl acetate. The title compound was obtained by the filtration.
