tert-Butyl-4-[3-(1-quinolin-6-ylcyclopropyl)imidazo[1,2-a]pyrimidin-6-yl]benzoate (0.125 g, 0.27 mmol) was treated with 4M HCl in 1,4-dioxane (1.5 mL) at RT for 3 h. The mixture was decanted. The solid was washed with ether and dried to give the desired product as HCl salt (129 mg, 99.5%) which was directly used in next step without further purification. LCMS: (M+H)=407.1.
