A mixture of tert-butyl 4-[5-(2-aminopyrimidin-5-yl)pyridin-2-yl]piperazine-1-carboxylate (0.120 g, 0.337 mmol) and chloro(1-quinolin-6-ylcyclopropyl)acetaldehyde (0.0827 g, 0.337 mmol) in isopropyl alcohol (2.0 mL) was heated at 100° C. overnight. The mixture was diluted with methanol and purified by RP-HPLC (pH 10.0) to give the desired product (80 mg, 43.4%). LCMS: (M+H)=548.2.
