tert-butyl 4-{5-[3-(1-quinolin-6-ylcyclopropyl)imidazo[1,2-a]pyrimidin-6-yl]pyridin-2-yl}piperazine-1-carboxylate (80.0 mg, 0.146 mmol) in methylene chloride (1.0 mL) was treated with trifluoroacetic acid (1.0 mL) at RT for 2 h. The volatiles were evaporated and the residue was co-evaporated with acetonitrile to give the desired product (125 mg) as a TFA salt which was directly used in next step without further purification. LCMS: (M+H)=448.1.
