tert-Butyl N-[8-bromo-6-methyl-2-(methylsulfanyl)imidazo[1,2-a]pyridin-3-yl]-N-propylcarbamate was dissolved in ethyl acetate (5 mL), then a 4N hydrochloric acid-ethyl acetate solution (10 mL) was added thereto at room temperature, and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 20 hours. Under ice-cooling, a 5N aqueous sodium hydroxide solution was added to neutralize the solution, which was extracted with ethyl acetate. The organic layers were combined, which was dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate, and evaporated, to give the title compound (103 mg) as a yellow amorphous.
