0.4 ml of trifluoroacetic acid was added to a 0.4-ml dichloromethane solution of 0.0351 g of t-butyl 4-[1-(2-butynyl)-6-methyl-7-oxo-6,7-dihydro-1H-imidazo[4,5-d]pyridazin-2-yl]piperazine-1-carboxylate, and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for one hour. The solvent was concentrated. The residue was purified by reverse-phase high performance liquid chromatography (using an acetonitrile-water mobile phase (containing 0.1% trifluoroacetic acid)) to give 0.0295 g of the title compound.
