700 mg of t-butyl [1-[7-(2-butynyl)-2-chloro-6-oxo-6,7-dihydro-1H-purin-8-yl]piperidin-3-yl]carbamate was dissolved in 7.0 ml of dimethyl sulfoxide, and then 114 μl of methyl iodide and 299 mg of potassium carbonate were added thereto. The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 30 minutes, and 40 ml of water was added to the reaction solution. The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 30 minutes, and the white precipitate was collected by filtration. The resulting white solid was washed with water and then with hexane to give 540 mg of the title compound.
