A solution of methyl 4-(3-(2-chloro-5-((2,2,2-trifluoroacetamido)methyl)phenyl)-5-oxo-4,5-dihydro-1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)-2-methoxybenzoate (step-5 of Intermediate-26, 0.500 g) in methanol (20 mL) was added conc. HCl (5 mL) dropwise. The reaction mass was refluxed for 24 h. The reaction mass was concentrated to afford 0.450 g of desired product. 1H NMR (300 MHz, DMSO d6): δ 3.78 (s, 3H), 3.85 (s, 3H), 4.10 (d, J=5.4 Hz, 2H), 7.63 (d, J=9.0 Hz, 1H), 7.74-7.84 (m, 4H), 7.94 (s, 1H), 8.57 (s, 2H), 12.81 (s, 2H); MS (m/z): 388.96 (M+H)+.
