To a 50 mL round bottom flask containing (S)-tert-butyl ((4-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl)(3-vinylpyridin-2-yl)methyl)carbamate (97 mg, 0.256 mmol) was added DCM (3 mL). The resulting mixture was then stirred at 23° C. for 2 min. At this time, TFA was added (3 mL) and the reaction was stirred for 3 h. The solvent was removed, and the material was immediately used with no further purification. MS (ESI pos. ion) m/z: 279.1 (M+1).
