1-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)-3-methylnaphthalen-2-yl trifluoromethanesulfonate was prepared in a similar manner as compound 4C in Example 2, except starting from 1-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)-3-methylnaphthalen-2-ol instead of 4B. 1H-NMR: 400 MHz, (CDCl3) δ: 7.85-7.90 (m, 2H), 7.62 (d, 1H), 7.55 (app dt, 1H), 7.41-7.48 (m, 2H), 7.32-7.49 (m, 2H), 2.64 (s, 3H).
