Reaction Steps
A mixture of (Z)-2-Hydroxy-11-(3-methylaminopropylidene)-6,11-dihydrodibenzo[b,e]oxepin (2.5 mg) is dissolved in a mixture of hydrochloric acid (1 ml) and methanol (9 ml) and heated at 140° C. (oil bath) for 4 hr. The product is isolated by means of HPLC and evaporation of solvents.
