The title compound was prepared in 78% yield from 1-(4-chlorophenyl)cyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid and 3-methoxy-3-oxopropanoic acid potassium salt according to the procedure for the preparation of Example 170, part A. 1H NMR (300 MHz, CDCl3): δ 1.22-1.26 (2H, m), 1.70-1.74 (2H, m), 3.35 (2H, s), 3.67 (3H, s), 7.29-7.34 (4H, m).
