The mixture of 2-((4-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl)-2-(trifluoromethyl)phenoxy)methyl)pyridine (1.35 g), 3-amino-6-chloro-4-(methylamino)-picolinonitrile (0.5 g), tris(dibenzylideneacetone)dipalladium (125 mg), tricyclohexylphosphine (92 mg) in a mixed solvent of dioxane (15 ml) and water (10 ml) was heated under nitrogen at 100° C. for 3 hours. After cooling to room temperature, the mixture extracted with ethyl acetate (200 ml), organic layer dried over sodium sulphate, solvent removed under reduced pressure, residue was used for next step without further purification. MS m/z 400 (M+H).
