Procedure
tert-Butyl 4-(4-carbamoyl-3-(5-fluoropyridin-3-ylamino)-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)-4-(cyanomethyl)piperidine-1-carboxylate (Example 13-14) (305 mg, 0.688 mmol) was dissolved in 4 M HCl in 1,4-dioxane (7 mL). The resulting solution was maintained at ambient temperature for 2 hours. The mixture was then concentrated in vacuo to afford the title compound, Intermediate #39.
