To a 0° C. solution of the product of Step 1 (120 mg) in DCM (1 mL) at 0° C. was added TFA (1 mL). The mixture was slowly warmed to room temperature and stirred for 3 hours. The solvent was removed in vacuo and the crude product was used in the next step. 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3): δ (ppm) 5.82 (ddd, 1H), 5.44 (d, 1H), 5.43 (d, 1H), 3.67 (d, 1H), 3.63 (d, 1H), 3.35 (s, 3H), 2.64 (dt, 1H), 1.92 (dd, 1H), 1.83 (dd, 1H), 1.76-1.70 (m, 1H), 1.67-1.60 (m, 1H), 1.14-1.02 (m, 2H).
