Procedure

Treat a solution of 1-(2,4-difluoro-5-(2-(methylamino)pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidin-6-yl)phenyl)-3-(3,3-dimethylbutyl)urea (0.030 g, 0.072 mmol) in hot MeOH (5 mL) with methanesulfonic acid (0.072 mL, 0.072 mmol) and cool to RT. Concentrate the mixture to dryness, treat with 1:1 MeCN/H2O (4 mL), freeze and lyophilize to afford the title compound as a pale yellow solid (68 mg, 178%, excess MeSO3H). MS (m/z): 415.2 (M+1).
