Using analogous reagents and reaction conditions as described in Example 1 above, 1-(4-cyclopropylpyridin-3-yl)imidazolidin-2-one (I-1d: 200 mg, 0.985 mmol) was reacted with 2-chloro-4-iodo pyridine (283 mg, 0.118 mmol) 1,4-dioxane (10 mL), copper iodide (19 mg, 0.0985 mmol), trans-N,N′-dimethylcyclohexane-1,2-diamine (14 mg, 0.0985 mmol) and potassium phosphate (626 mg, 2.95 mmol) to afford the crude product. Purification by column chromatography on silica gel (2% methanol in chloroform) afforded 220 mg of the product (71.10% yield).
