Procedure

To a crude solution of methyl 4-(((R)-1-((S)-2-((tert-butoxycarbonyl)amino)-3,3-dimethylbutanoyl)-N—((R)-1-(2-fluorophenyl)ethyl)-3,3-dimethyl-1,3-azasilolidine-5-carboxamido)methyl)benzoate (100 mg, 0.16 mmol) in DCM (4 mL) was added HCl (4.0 M solution in dioxane, 1 mL). The reaction mixture was stirred at rt for 2 h and concentrated in vacuo to give the title compound as a HCl salt. MS(ESI+) m/z 542.6 (M+H)+.
