To 0.1 g (0.31 mmol) 10-chloro-5,6,8,9-tetrahydro-1,4,7,10a-tetraaza-cyclohepta[f]indene-7-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester, in a sealed tube in 4 mL ethanol, was added 0.2 mL (1.12 mmol) DIPEA followed by 47 mg (0.34 mmol) homomorpholine hydrochloride, and the reaction was heated at 80° C. for 16 hours. 5 mL of H2O was added and the mixture was extracted with EtOAc (2×10 mL), the organic layers were combined and dried with MgSO4. After filtration and evaporation of the solvent the product was purified by column chromatography (silica, hexane/EtOAc 10:0 to 6:4).
