Procedure
Following a procedure analogous to that for the synthesis of Intermediate 77, 1-ethyl-1H-indole-5-sulfonamide (Intermediate 56, 50 mg, 0.22 mmol) and N-chlorosuccinimide (36 mg, 0.27 mmol) were converted to the title compound (21 mg, 35%). 1H NMR (DMSO-d6) δ 7.99 (d, J=1.3 Hz, 1H), 7.81 (s, 1H), 7.77-7.71 (m, 1H), 7.70-7.64 (m, 1H), 7.22 (s, 2H), 4.26 (q, J=7.3 Hz, 2H), 1.36 (t, J=7.2 Hz, 3H); MS (ESI+) m/z 259.2 (M+H)+.
