Procedure
To a solution of N-[3-(3-cyanopyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidin-7-yl)phenyl]-N-tert-butylacetylacetamide 4 (9.0 g, 0.023 mol) in dichloromethane (200 ml) was added trifluoroacetic acid (60 ml). The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for four hours. The solution was concentrated to dryness. The crude product obtained was purified by chromatography on silica gel using chloroform/methanol (9/1). 5.5 g of Hapten-A was obtained as a foamy solid.
