To a mixture of 6-bromo-4,7-difluoro-2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-1-one (0.5 g), THF (1 mL) and EtOH (1 mL) was added NaBH4 (100 mg). After 1 hour the reaction mixture was concentrated and the residue distributed between water and EA. The organic phase was washed with water (3 times), dried (Na2SO4), filtered and concentrated. The residue was purified by preparative HPLC to provide the subtitle compound. MS ESI+: m/z=249 [M+H]+.
