A solution of tert-butyl 4-({[4-(2-tert-butylphenyl)piperazin-1-yl](oxo)acetyl}amino)piperidine-1-carboxylate (Example 181, 2.5 g, 5.29 mmol) in 4 M HCl-EtOAc solution (20 mL) was stirred at room temperature for 3 h. The reaction mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure to give the title compound (2.94 g) as a yellow solid.
