Reaction Steps
To a round-bottom flask, 8.92 g of purified caprolactam and 2 g of NH4SCN (ammonium thiocyanate) were introduced. The mixture was agitated gradually under nitrogen atmosphere at 50° C. for 4 hours and cooled to room temperature to obtain 10.9 g of caprolactam-NH4SCN eutectic mixture.
