Procedure

A solution of Example 25C (500 mg, 2.347 mmol) in dichloromethane (30 mL) was cooled to 0° C. and a solution of mCPBA (631 mg, 2.82 mmol) in dichloromethane (5 mL) was added. The mixture was warmed to ambient temperature and stirred for 2 hours. The mixture was diluted with dichloromethane (50 mL), quenched with a saturated solution of Na2S2O3 and partitioned. The organic portion was dried (MgSO4), filtered, concentrated under reduced pressure. The resulting residue was purified by silica gel chromatography (elution with 10% EtOAc/hexanes) to provide the title product (316 mg, 1.38 mmol, 59%). MS (DCI) m/z 230 (M+H)+.
