A mixture of Example 32A (2.35 g, 18.63 mmol), 1-bromo-3,3-dimethylbutan-2-one (2.52 mL, 18.63 mmol) and potassium carbonate (2.57 g, 18.63 mmol) in 2-butanone (75 mL) was heated to 80° C. overnight. The mixture was poured into water, and extracted with ethyl acetate (2×). The combined organic extracts were dried over Na2SO4, filtered, concentrated under reduced pressure to afford the title compound. MS (ESI) m/z 225 (M+H)+.
