To a solution of 2,4-dichloroquinazoline (1.0 g, 5.024 mmol) in methanol (15 mL) was added 3-(aminomethyl)oxetan-3-amine (855 mg, 60%, 5.024 mmol) and triethylamine (101 mg, 1.005 mmol). After being stirred at room temperature overnight, the mixture was concentrated in vacuo. The residue was purified by flash column chromatography to afford 1.2 g of the desired product as a white solid (yield was 92%).
