780 mg (1.56 mmol) of tert-butyl[(R)-1-(4-methoxybenzyl)-2-oxo-2-(3-pentyl-3-(4-fluoro-phenyl)azetidin-1-yl)ethyl]carbamate are solubilized in 10 ml of dichloromethane. 4 ml of trifluoroacetic acid are introduced. The reaction medium is stirred for 1 hour and then concentrated to dryness. The residue is taken up in a 1N aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide and extracted with dichloromethane and then the resulting product is dried over magnesium sulphate, filtered and evaporated.
