Procedure
To a mixture of tert-butyl [6-(2-{3-[(2,5-dichloropyrimidin-4-yl)amino]phenyl}ethyl)pyridin-2-yl]carbamate (230 mg, 0.50 mmol) in 1,4-dioxane (1.0 mL) was added 4 M hydrogen chloride in 1,4-dioxane (5.0 mL). The resultant reaction mixture was stirred at rt for 2 hours. The reaction mixture was concentrated under vacuum to give the desired product (212 mg, 98%) as a very hydroscopic light yellow powder. LCMS for C17H16Cl2N5 (M+H)+: m/z=360.0.
